How to air dry your live/ fresh Bridal Florals

This tutorial is for those of you that are on your honeymoon and don’t have a designated person to ship your otherwise fresh/live bouquet. Good news! I can press and preserve your dried florals too! This air drying tutorial will ensure you can leave your live florals confidently for a few weeks, while you’re away. To then Ship once you are back home :) You can ship your florals anytime in between this process, this tutorial is a guideline to help preserve your florals if you don’t have time or resources to immediately ship your live florals.

Things you will need:

  • your special bouquet

  • curtain hanger (or 2) or a clothes hanger

  • some hair ties or rubber bands

    Where should I hang them?

    Find a dry room with good circulation, dark or soft daylight, such as unused closet or a bedroom window away from direct sunlight. With hair tie or rubber band, secure the bottom of the flowers' stems and use curtain to hang on clothes hanger. Then hang on curtain rod or closet rod, to hang upside down to dry.

    Leave flowers for two to three weeks until completely dry.

How do I know they are dry enough to ship?

You will know when your florals are completely dry when there is no remaining water left from the florals, they will have a crunchy, chip like consistency. You can ship your florals anytime in between this process, this tutorial is a guideline to help preserve your florals in-between, if you don’t have time to immediately ship your live florals.
